Amber was called to the bar in 2012 after receiving her JD from the University of Windsor, as well as an JD (American) from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, having completed the two law degrees concurrently. Amber’s practice is focused largely on the areas of condominium law and employment law. She has extensive experience in acting for condominium corporations, as well as boards of directors, condominium managers, and property management companies on a range of issues, including collections, bylaw enforcement, construction deficiencies, insurance, financing, and general advising.
Amber represents employers in various employment proceedings, including wrongful dismissals, Human Rights complaints, Employment Standards claims, Federal Labour complaints, and Federal Court actions. In addition, Amber advises employers on general employment matters and has worked with large organizations, such as First Nations, on employment issues, including company reorganizations.
Taking a practical approach when handling matters, Amber evaluates how to accomplish the goal of her client in the most effective and efficient manner. She is invested in her clients’ long-term success and compliance by educating them on best practices and management strategies across their respective industries. This ensures that her clients are well informed and positioned to act decisively.
