Torey is an articling student with Bishop & McKenzie. She was born and raised on a grain farm in rural Alberta where she developed a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt quickly to solve problems. Torey received her Bachelor of Management with distinction from the University of Alberta Augustana campus in 2019. During her undergraduate degree, she was a member of the Augustana Vikings varsity basketball team. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2023.

During law school, Torey successfully balanced her schoolwork with a variety of extracurricular pursuits. Torey volunteered with Student Legal Services of Edmonton to provide legal assistance to low-income individuals. She was a member of the Women’s Law Forum and served on their fundraising committee. Torey was also a member of the women’s law school rugby team, serving as President for her final season.

Outside of the office, Torey enjoys staying active with basketball, running, weightlifting, yoga and golf. She is an avid gardener with a large collection of houseplants. Torey also loves to cook and bake and is always on the hunt for the best gluten-free pizza in Edmonton.
