Appointed Queens Counsel in 2009, Norm is counsel at Bishop & McKenzie. His legal practice emphasizes commercial transactions, financial regulatory work, commercial leasing, film and television, and software and technology licensing. He is a member of the bar in B.C., Alberta, and Ontario. He is also a registered trademark agent.

Norm relishes the arts and, as a lifelong Edmontonian, is an unwavering champion of the city’s vibrant arts community. He has had a longstanding association with the Alberta Media Production Industries Association, and has sat on the boards of the Edmonton Art Gallery (now the Art Gallery of Alberta), Government House, and Edmonton’s Northern Light Theatre.
