Raised in Edmonton, Jose was born in Nicaragua and is fluent in Spanish. As a partner with Bishop & McKenzie, his general litigation practice assists individuals, professionals, businesses, condo boards, property managers and boards of directors with shareholder disputes, insolvency matters, construction law and condominium litigation.

Outside the office, Jose volunteers his time with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. He stays active by volunteering his time coaching youth soccer and lifting weights. Jose was once a student of the sweet science as an amateur boxer. He’s since hung his gloves up, but still has mean left hook. To unwind, Jose enjoys quality time with his siblings, nephews and nieces, and reading up on history, science and technology.
