Kari is a partner at Bishop & McKenzie. Her litigation practice is primarily devoted to collections and security enforcement for financial institutions and private lenders. However, she also acts for the defense on foreclosure and collections matters. In her general litigation work, she focuses on disputes involving contracts, shareholders and real property, and in the area of real estate, she handles both residential and commercial transactions.

Kari is a longtime volunteer with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and Pro Bono Lawyers of Alberta. She is also a past-executive member of the Law Day Committee, and a former cast member of the Players de Novo, fundraising thespians drawn from Edmonton’s legal community. Kari also volunteers her time as a member of the board of directors of the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton, and is a longtime volunteer with the Canadian Bar Association.
