Born and raised in Edmonton, Joseph spent most of his academic career here, but travelled to the Netherlands for his final year of undergraduate studies and the University of Copenhagen in Denmark for a semester during law school.
While at law school, he was on the executive committee for the University of Alberta (U of A) Law Students’ Association and a representative of the Faculty of Law on the U of A Intramural Council. Now an articling student with Bishop & McKenzie LLP, Joseph is hoping to focus on solicitor’s work relating to the growth and development of the local economy, particularly in regards to small and family-run businesses.
A gifted musician, Joseph has achieved Level 8 in the Royal Conservatory of Music in piano, and also plays the guitar and mandolin. In addition to his creative outlets, Joseph was part of the Tortfeasors law hockey team and the Golden Barristers rugby team. He also received his Bronze Medallion with the Life Saving Society, and participated as a Certified Hockey Alberta referee.
When he’s not pursuing his love for travel and DIY projects, you can find Joseph enjoying the outdoors with camping and fly fishing in the summer, or playing hockey in the winter.
