Amanda is an Associate with Bishop & McKenzie. Prior to law school, she obtained a diploma in Paralegal Studies from MacEwan University and worked as a legal assistant at a busy personal injury law firm. This invaluable and practical experience enabled her to appreciate the importance of organization and attentive communication. She received her Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2022.
Throughout her time in law school, she balanced academic excellence with volunteering for Student Legal Services in the criminal law project as a caseworker and in the family law project as a volunteer notetaker. Additionally, she dedicated extensive time to mentoring first year law students, offering them guidance for exam-writing, course selection, and the much-dreaded first year oral advocacy assignment.
In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors in its many forms, camping and cycling in particular. She also tries to make ample time for cooking and reading (for fun).
