Mikala is an articling student with Bishop & McKenzie's Calgary office. She received her double major Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2019 and her Juris Doctor, also at the University of Alberta, in 2022. Prior to working at Bishop & McKenzie, Mikala worked for a small law firm in Edmonton.

While at university, Mikala volunteered with Student Legal Services of Edmonton and provided legal assistance to low-income individuals in both the criminal and civil division. Mikala also volunteered for her class’s graduation committee, the law school’s theatrical production, and OUTlaw. Mikala was also a member of the women’s law school rugby team helping to extend their four-time championship run.

Outside of the office, Mikala enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her one-year-old beaglier, Frisco. Mikala also enjoys travelling, baking, exploring the mountains, and caring for her many houseplants.
