Scott is a partner with Bishop & McKenzie. Most of his corporate/commercial law practice involves helping lenders and borrowers with commercial financings, and assisting real estate developers in subdividing, leasing, purchasing and selling properties.

His other areas of focus include condominium property issues and strata title law. For the firm, he oversees the recruitment of Bishop & McKenzie’s students-at-law.

In addition to acting for large real estate investment trusts and national retailers, Scott often acts for small and medium-sized businesses on restructuring and reorganizing, and as general counsel. With a facility for technology that dates to co-ownership in a game of Pong as a youngster, he also handles software licensing and Internet-related legal issues.

Scott is motivated by a desire to see other people’s visions realized and deals advanced smoothly. He approaches those goals with practical and creative solutions that have helped a wide array of Edmonton and area projects succeed.

Out of the office, he is a fan of all water sports, including swimming, water-skiing, and wakeboarding. He’s a convert to triathlon training, a road and mountain biker, and a downhill and cross-country skier.
