More About Carmen

Carmen is counsel with Bishop & McKenzie. She has a broad commercial litigation practice and is incredibly effective at finding creative solutions to disputes involving contracts for a wide range of businesses. She fully commits herself to resolve legal issues including breach of contract, employment law, shareholders’ rights and obligations, personal injury, and construction law. Most of her clients are Alberta-based entrepreneurs.

Carmen has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta and is a former instructor for the Alberta Bar Admission Course.

A fervent traveler, Carmen has lived and worked in both Japan and Central America as a teacher/consultant, and has travelled extensively simply for the joy of it. Her foreign adventures have fostered an interest in social justice issues and prompted her to volunteer for many non-governmental organizations overseas. She is a former director of Change for Children and a former member of Crossroads International.

Carmen also volunteers for the Bissell Center and the Food Bank. And when time to unwind arrives, she lives life to its fullest by biking, hiking, reading, doing tai chi and practicing mediation. Just like with her practice, Carmen is dedicated to results and excellence in life as well.
