David handles commercial matters of all sorts including mergers and acquisitions, commercial financing, reorganizations, leases, licenses, limited partnerships, and unanimous shareholders agreements. He also has extensive experience with contract drafting and advising clients regarding the interpretation of and resolving disputes related to commercial contracts. He completed his B.Sc., M.B.A., and LL.B. from the University of Alberta and was admitted to the Alberta bar in 1995.

Outside of work, David is very active in the community and with the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Branch in particular. He was the President of the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Branch, from 2020 to 2021 and has held many other positions including serving on its council and chairing various sections, including the Commercial Property and Leasing section, and the Business Law section. He was a director of NAIOP Edmonton, a commercial real estate development association. He has been a presenter for the Legal Education Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Branch. For fun, David enjoys travel, playing piano, good food and wine, weight training, and running.
