Hannah is an Associate at Bishop & McKenzie, following a successful completion of her articles and subsequent call to the bar in August 2023.
Born and raised on a farm in rural, small-town Alberta, Hannah's work ethic and passion for solving people's problems makes her an ideal addition to our established team of professionals.
Hannah developed her passion for languages throughout her life by self-studying various languages from a young age and taking courses in languages during her degrees. She is currently working towards higher fluency levels in French and Korean and is just starting her journey with Dutch, Japanese, Russian, and Mandarin. Hannah earned both her Bachelor of Arts with distinction in psychology and creative writing and her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta.
As the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Alberta Law Review, Hannah brought her expertise as a published author to the journal and learned how to balance a demanding role and full-time schoolwork while still managing and supporting a team of roughly 30 people to ensure the success of the journal. Beyond her excellent academic record, Hannah's primary focus is ensuring that everyone she works with knows that she genuinely cares about them.
Outside of work, Hannah is passionate about supporting local businesses, especially the local food scene and farmers markets in Edmonton. She also is an active member of the dance community and loves learning new forms of dance. She also enjoys running and writing but not simultaneously. When she's not reading law books to learn more about her craft, she reads high fantasy books.
