More About Jeff

Jeff has over 30 years of experience in real estate and lending and has worked in these areas as in-house counsel, as a sole practitioner, and as counsel to regional, national, and international law firms. Jeff has acted for all sizes of entities in the commercial real estate development field from one off in-fill builders to the largest privately held land developer/home builder in North America.

In the commercial banking world, he has acted for both lenders and borrowers in numerous and complex multi-million-dollar transactions, and over the past few years, Jeff has built up a unique niche practice in acting for both banks and First Nations in the emerging area of litigation financing.

Outside of work, Jeff is kept busy by both coaching for, and acting as the Vice President of, the Calwest Basketball Association. When not on or around the court, he loves spending time with his family in the summer at his cabin sitting by a fire or waterskiing and in the winter skiing at Sunshine Village and watching hockey. He is also a past President of the University of Calgary Alumni Association and a former member of the University of Calgary Senate.
