Bishop & McKenzie LLP is pleased to announce that Jeffrey B. Champion, Q.C., a partner in the Edmonton office's litigation group, has been appointed as a Judge of the Provincial Court of Alberta.
Mr. Champion is widely recognized by various publications, including Lexpert, as one of Canada's leading professional negligence lawyers. He has appeared in precedential cases at all levels of court in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He is also the author of numerous publications on evidentiary issues and the doctrine of informed consent, and he is an active volunteer in his church community.
Mr. Champion joins a venerable list of Bishop & McKenzie LLP alumni appointed to the bench, including Justices Juliana Topolinski, Campbell J. Miller, and Steven Mandziuk.
