More About Lauren

Lauren is an associate and civil litigator who focuses on commercial and employment matters. In her commercial practice Lauren advises clients in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency, shareholder disputes, construction law, collections, contract disputes and general litigation. In her employment practice Lauren advises clients on employment contracts and policies, terminations, disability accommodation (including cannabis accommodation), human rights violations, workplace investigations and any related Litigation.


Lauren has experience in trial advocacy, administrative proceedings and in different forms of alternative dispute resolution. She has represented clients at all levels of the Alberta Courts, the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal and the Canadian Labour Standards Board. Prior to joining Bishop & McKenzie, Lauren practiced in the employment and litigation group of an international law firm.


At every stage of the litigation process, Lauren is straightforward and efficient while providing her clients with a realistic assessment of their next steps and likely outcomes. She has worked with a wide array of clients, including institutional and large private corporations, as well as small businesses and individuals.


Lauren graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law in 2012 where she was a winning team member at the National Sopinka Cup Trial Advocacy Moot, and also earned an individual award for trial advocacy.


When not practicing law, Lauren loves to travel—she learned to surf in Australia, hiked the Inca Trail, swam with piranhas, and biked the world’s most dangerous road in South America. While at home, she enjoys performance art, reading and singing karaoke.
