On October 9, Bishop & McKenzie’s Nigel J. Forster is presenting at “Employment-Related Records in Alberta,” a seminar for employers highlighting best practices for the use and privacy of employment records and policies. Given the recent devastation in Calgary and across southern Alberta, Bishop & McKenzie offers our heartfelt sympathy and support to all those affected by the flooding.
Fortunately, our downtown Calgary office was not damaged, but our lawyers and staff, families and friends, clients and community have all been impacted by this significant event. Our offices are open and we are fully able to assist and support in whatever way we can.
Wanda Fawcett, head of Bishop & McKenzie's Wills and Estates department, is pleased to announce the recent addition of three additional colleagues to the group. While all of the lawyers at Bishop & McKenzie LLP are clear communicators, several of them are multilingual and are happy to converse with clients in a language other than English.
We are pleased to offer clients that opportunity in French, Spanish, German, Korean, Punjabi, Polish and Arabic.
One or two of our lawyers are also fluent in hockey ... and rock ’n’ roll.
Don Bishop, senior counsel at Bishop & McKenzie chaired a panel at the 4th National Pro Bono Conference in Montreal this year. The conference created a national forum to address all aspects of providing pro bono legal service: from major themes to ground level challenges.
